WTCA, what does it mean?

World Trade Center Lugano Association

WTCA is the acronym of  World Trade Center Association (www.wtca.org)

It is a not-for-profit association with the aim of supporting the establishment and development of new World Trade Centers and encouraging them to strengthen inter-WTC cooperation.
The global network of WTCs provides an effective support to the trade development and economic growth in all areas where all WTCs are located.

A WTC puts all the services associated with global commerce under one roof. It serves the entrepreneur providing business services and local and international support to guarantee his success in international trade.

The World Trade Center Association Lugano is part of this large family. With the support of the largest private and public economic organizations in the Canton Ticino, our Association represents a point of reference for new business in Lugano.

The main aim is to encourage the development of business relations in the national and international markets for all the business people who operate from Lugano, a strategic link between Northern and Southern Europe.

Thanks to the spirit of WTC reciprocity, every local member of our WTC Association Lugano is automatically a member of all WTCs and can access to the services and benefits at all operating WTCS around the world.

We proudly mention in our Board the most notable figures of the economic panorama in the Canton Ticino, representing the local public and private economic entities, among them the Chamber of Commerce of the Canton TIcino, the Ticino Industry Association, the municipality of Lugano, Economic promotional Office of the Canton Ticino, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Italy and many local banks.

The first seeds of the WTC international movement were sown in 1970 and today WTCA membership includes more than 300 WTCs in almost 100 countries. Over 750,000 companies are affiliated with WTCA members worldwide.
