With the initial contact, you will receive a questionnaire which will give us a clear understanding of your main needs and expectations and enables us to provide a quality service focusing on your requirements.

During your first visit, you’ll be received by our specific assigned consultant who will accompany you during the…”exploratory” tour. You will be exploring the residential areas for potential housing, the local schools and shopping centres, local transportation, the places of worship, the green areas and the various recreational facilities for the free time. Beyond this, our consultant will give you some informative materials and practical tips and information on day-.to-day life in Ticino. Our consultant will be with you for a full day tour: do not hesitate to ask questions or seek advice!

2.HOME SEARCH ASSISTANCE

Finding the suitable home is a top priority / of paramount importance. Whether you choose to rent an apartment or buy a new home /In the case you choose to rent an apartment or buy a new home, our consultant will help you find the right solution and negotiate price and conditions with the tenant, the owner or the real estate agent. Once you have selected the options that fit your requirements, our assigned consultant will contact the real estate agents and schedule the viewing appointments. During your visit, you will be shown all potential housing solutions. An accurate list of pros and cons of each viewed property (based on your requirements) will be provided by our real estate experts to help you identify the best neighbourhood and house. During the legal stipulation of the contact, an in-house real estate expert will negotiate with the vendor or the tenant and review the contact to make sure that it serves your best interests. If you need to find a short term furnished accommodation prior to your moving into the new home, our consultant will make a reservation for a hotel room or, if you prefer, will make a temporary housing reservation in a residence or a serviced apartment.

3. SETTLING IN

After the conclusion of the lease or the purchase contract, we’ll coordinate the entire move. Our assigned real estate consultant will organize the arrival of the personal belongings with the removal company, assist you with the international transportation and customs formalities and apply for the utilities’ connections (electricity, water, gas, telephone, satellite TV). Our consultant will arrange the registration of your pet, assisting you during the process of importing your animal and giving you all the necessary information on the Swiss special importing regulations provided for by the Federal veterinary office (FVO)

 

And that’s not all. Are you looking for a babysitter? Would you like to hire a trustworthy housekeeper? Do you need a medical specialist? An electrician or a gardener for your new home? Do you need to rent a car before your own car delivery? Ask your WTC consultant for  advice or assistance to fulfil your most practical needs…

4.ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANCE

You’re not allowed to live in Switzerland without a regular working or residence permit. One of our experts in the field will take care of the paperwork procedures, and will also assist you in the negotiation for a  favourable tax agreement with the Swiss Authorities. He will also notify your arrival to the resident registry office and at the post office.
Your car may be imported but a registration of the vehicle at the road traffic-licensing department after import and customs clearance is necessary. Our WTC consultant will arrange the car registration for you. We’ll refer you a trusted broker who will submit you the best conditions for your car insurance, health insurance (compulsory in Switzerland) and other insurance coverage (house contents, private liability,etc). Finally, we will also give assistance introducing you to a bank of your choice for the opening of a bank account.
5.SCHOOL SEARCH

In Switzerland you can find many internationally renowned schools. After a brief introduction to the Swiss educational system, our consultant will present you a shortlist of schools and assist you in determining the most appropriate solution for the education of your children. He will show you a profile for each school with pros and cons of the different solutions. Beyond this, he will arrange a tour of selected schools and fix appointments with the headmasters. Finally, he will assist you in the enrolment formalities.

6.FREE TIME

Besides, one of our assistants will assist your wife accompanying her for a shopping tour in the most renowned and elegant boutiques of Lugano or at the popular outlet of Mendrisio.

7.DEPARTURE SERVICE

Our consultants will always support you, also on your departure. They will give written notice to terminate the lease contract and arrange disconnection of the domestic utilities, will coordinate the removal and shipment, terminate the insurance’s policies, inform the post office, the Registry office and the immigration office of your departure.
